calum would be so cute and nervous when he was telling you he loved you for the first time. like it would be late at night and you would be at the apartment he shared with michael because michael would be at his girlfriends that night so he knew y’all would be alone and the two of you would be laying in his bed while the rain was pouring outside and he would be play with your hair that would be cascading down your back as your whole body was laying on top of his and he would humming some song that was stuck in his head all day while he was trying to gain the courage to say those three words to you and he would probably be really nervous and you could feel his heartbeat racing and he knew you could feel it once you placed a hand over his heart and kissed his chest and he would just mumble “i love you” really soft and slow and you would almost miss it but you heard it and god were you happy when you heard him say it because you wanted to be sure that the love you felt for him was the same that he felt for you and you would go to sit up on top of his chest and his hands would move to your waist  and you just looked down at him with this huge smile on your face as you leaned in to kiss his lips and mumble an “i love you” against them and he would smile against your lips and hold you closer because then in that moment he knew that you were the one for him and he would do anything for the love of his life
